For almost 85 years, Denton’s Picture Framing & Supplies has been a family business,
and is widely regarded as a legend in custom framing in Oklahoma City.
and is widely regarded as a legend in custom framing in Oklahoma City.
Jack and Maxcine Denton founded the company in 1942 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Throughout the 1960s and ’70s, John Moad and several others members of the Moad family worked there, and in 1984 the Moad Brothers — a partnership of John, Mike, and their father SL Moad (each an Oklahoma City Fire Chief at one time) — bought the frame shop. Jack and Maxcine kindly stayed on to help with the transition, until Maxcine’s retirement.
Since then, each of John Moad’s three children Mark, Megan, and Chris, nephew Micah, as well as son-in-law Mike Towery and daughter-in-law Tiffany Moad, have all worked at Denton’s. Today, the Moad family continues to provide the best in custom frame service and framing supplies to clients all over the country. Denton’s Framing continues its evolution as a company, but exemplary skill, service and quality remain the lasting legacy. |
